The key thing to consider when listening to The Who's "The Kids Are Alright" is that this particular album is the soundtrack for Jeff Stein's very fine documentary film about the band. Accordingly, the listener who fires up this album on CD, or via download, gets to hear some great music, but misses out on the accompanying visuals/5().

The Kids Are Alright is a soundtrack album by the British rock band The Who, a companion to the band's documentary film of the same name. As compilation album, it serves as a retrospective look at the band's biggest hits throughout their career to the point it was released.

referencing The Kids Are Alright, LP, Album, RE, Red + LP, Album, RE, Blu, This is a very nice reproduction, but it is not a faithful reproduction. Obviously, the two transparent colored vinyl discs are the first giveaway, but I am more interested in the packaging.

The band played a new song from this new album at the time and I was skeptical I must admit. New material is always welcome but can be intimidating. I got the new album in the mail today and I must say that the entirety of this effort shines on with music mastery as one of the greatest WHO albums/5(1).

The album was released on 18 August, and became their biggest and fastest seller to date, peaking at No. 6 in the UK and No. 2 in the US. Instead of touring, Daltrey, Townshend and Moon did a series of promotional television interviews, and Entwistle worked on the soundtrack for The Kids Are Alright.
